The power 5 chord formula is 1-5 (i.e. the Rootand5thnotes of the major scale).
You can also play the Power 5 chord formula as:
1-5-1 (i.e. the Root,5th & Root), the 2nd root note is one octave higher than the 1st root note.

The red note is the root note of the chord, for example:
